The Pilipinx American Student Association (PASA) engages students at California State University East Bay in activities and programs that aid in enriching educational growth, enhancing Pilipinx cultural awareness, and providing opportunities for community service and leadership development. PASA builds lifelong camaraderie with its members, providing a solid foundation of support and guidance that will help them succeed throughout and after college.

Angel Casal

They call me “The Devil’s Favorite” because I’m lethal and dangerous on the dance floor. With this being my last time on core, it's time to bring the fire and end on a high note.

What’s up PASA Fam!!! It’s Angel and after 2 years, I am finally retiring as a club officer for PASA. I will admit, this year was definitely the rockiest but with the help of my friends, they were able to back me up when times were rough. As you may know, I had to cancel 2 big events as everything wasn’t going the way I thought. But then, I did the Founders Day portion of this year’s PACC x Founders Day alongside the CoPos and it went amazingly well. Before that, I also went to FG for the first time and it was breathtaking going to socal with friends to dance and compete (I did not compete) in that event. Now I am at a point where I can give the role to someone else as I’m setting myself up to do other things at this school. For example, I started teaching freshmen under the inspire program how to breakdance as well as joining the E-Sports club during the spring. I then needed to find a successor and it was challenging until I met Christian Barretto and boy he’s going to kill it. With that, thank you to both Coreyugto and Corebuhay for having to deal with my crazy antics but also supporting me. Shout-out to my co Pawan. Thank you for allowing me to guide you through your first time in core and you did a great job. Lastly, I want to say thank you to my predecessors Greg and Elijah who’s also my Kuya. Y’all have been the best people to work and hangout with. I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for them. Thank you PASA for allowing me to be me and I’m grateful for what I’ve done. I hope what I said and did inspire you guys to keep moving forward in life because you never know what surprises it may hold. With that, I’m officially signing off as your Hxstorian. As always have fun, stay safe, may the story of PASA continue and to who ever wants revive War on the Hills, all power to you ✌️.

Hey Everyone!! I'm Pawan, and I'm quite excited to be joining the Core!! I can't wait to meet everyone!

As one generation passes the torch to the next, they bestow upon them not just a flame, but a legacy of wisdom, experience, and hope. In the flickering light of this exchange, lies the promise of continuity, progress, and the enduring spirit of our bonds forged. I appreciate Pasa for allowing me somethings I won't be able to experience, it truly was a fun ride! Keeping Pasa's history thankfully is in good hands!
