M.Y. Fam
M.Y. Fam was established in April 2016 by Julius Romel Fernandez.
"According to Article 15 Section 1 of the 1987 Philippine Constitution: "The State recognizes the Filipino family as the foundation of the nation. Accordingly, it shall strengthen its solidarity and actively promote its total development."
I just want to sound imperious. Kidding. *But jokes are half-meant* Seriously, at a certain point in your life, you would want to start creating legacies - and what better way to start it but among the youth! When PASA gives us the chance to influence more youths of different backgrounds and ethnicities, we grab it. Soon, this family will be a strong network of successful, fulfilled, and happy individuals whose cores go back to the richness of our nurturing, active, friendly, and familial tradition of solidarity."
- Julius Romel Fernandez
M.Y. STANDS FOR MANILATOWN YOUTH.
To preserve the rich Filipino-American tradition of the San Francisco Bay Area, the name M.Y. purposely stands for 'Manilatown Youth'. Manilatown is a subdistrict in the Barbary Coast Area of San Francisco which was home to many Asian-Americans. It has been the inspiration for the first PCN musical staged at CSUEB in 2016, entitled "I-Hotel". Now, the Youth, hungry for history and aiming for success, will be the catalysts for peace and justice that the current Manilatown stands for.
It's not just your, her, his, their, our - it's M.Y. FAMILY. Own it.
